Buwan Art Collective
Buwan Art Collective (est. 2020) is a collective based in Singapore consisting of three artists, Sophia Dominguez, Laura Pelea and Arrvinraj. Three of them are recent graduates from the Fine Art Diploma programme in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. 'Buwan' is the Filipino meaning for month and moon, both of which the collective encompasses in their works and projects. They initiate and create interdisciplinary performance-based art through their projects. 'Buwan' symbolises the cyclical change, power and mystery that is life, and in the nature of performance art.
Buwan Performance Project
This is a month-long online performance showcase by Buwan Art Collective. It will run for a couple of months in the second half of 2020.
This run of Buwan Performance Project which consists of monthly series of interdisciplinary performances from varying young artists. In regards to the collective name, ‘Buwan’ symbolizes time, energy, change and rhythm. Thus, the project hopes to unearth these energies in the works of young passionate artists.
